Why didn’t I hear about this?   They remastered freakin’ Star Trek! I happened to see an episode on tv (FOX i think) today and was like, “Since when could you pull that shit with model ships on wires?”  The answer of course is you can’t, so I checked out the website (see link above) and turns out they’re doing the whole series for the 40th aniversity.  You’d think they’d advertise this shit…..Anyway, they did a really good job.  The video is really clear and the re-recording of the music is really done well–same notes just sharper.  They took a lot of care when they reanimated the scenes of the ships in space, it isn’t obvious and flashy, just pulling off some interesting angles without added any new crap.  Which is fine ’cause half the fun of watching TOS is the hilarity the ensues from watching outdated material (I mean that as a complement). Anyway, if you get a chance, you should check it out. If you can’t find it on TV you can get it off iTunes.

PS: I promise to have some art up soon, I’ve been working on a lot of stuff and i’ve got a major sketch dump planned.

So, just in case you’re blind (though if you are I’m not sure how you’re reading this) I’ve done a new design. It’s based off of a template from here (and they have lots of other wp templates so you should check them out), and I think it works much better than the last one. I’m still tweaking it here and there but I think I’ve pretty much customized it to my satisfaction.

I’m really loving the wp engine, if only because it allows me to change my site layout every two weeks with relative ease (it’s a bad habit, i know, but it’s like an addiction now). In fact, I like it so much I think I might convert some of my other sites over…
